repetitive activity
4
Q
predisposing factors:
A
- physical activities (running and jumping)
-tight quadriceps and hamstrings can increase strain on patella tendon.
- muscular imbalance causing an uneven pull on the tendons.
- chronic illness such as kidney failure, autoimmune diseases (lupus or rheumatoid arthritis) and metabolic diseases (diabetes) can cause a disruption of blood flow to the knees weakening the tendon.
5
Q
Rehabilitation
A
start with RICE and anti inflammatory medication
Stretching:
- stranding quadricep stretch
-laying down hamstring stretch (straight leg lift)
balance:
Exercises:
-Drop squats/ assisted squats
