Q

What happened to you on the first day on Monday, August 11th?

A

On Monday, they made all of the pledges stand in the freezing rain while some of the upperclassmen paddled our behind. I was so upset that I started having an asthma attack! The upperclassmen wouldn’t let me get my rescue inhaler, and I ended up passing out.

Yes, when I told our band director about it, they just said I was overreacting and that it was all in good fun! They did call the police on the matter though

Q

What events lead to Chuck’s death?

A

The upperclassmen had a party where they heavily pressured all of us pledges to drink. Both me and check drank three drinks, leaving us a bit tipsy.Next, all of the pledges were led outside blindfolded, one by one, at about 1 am. When Chris took Chuck, I heard Chris tell Chuck, “We have something special in mind for you, Chuck.” Soon after he was led outside, I heard yelling and running footsteps. When I ran outside, I saw Chuck on the ledge of the clock tower! Then I saw Chris put his/her hand on Chuck’s shoulder and push him off

Q

Did Chuck change that much over the coarse of your friendship?

A

In elementary school, he was a chubby kid at my school that was teased for being a “nerd” and a “freak”. By the time he got into high school, though, he had lost all of his baby fat and gotten contact lenses, a new haircut, and a whole new wardrobe!!

Q

Did Chuck’s new popularity in high school change your friendship?

A

Whenever he would go to parties with the cooler kids, he would always insist that I was invited too. Once he started dating a cheerleader at school, we spent less time together, but I knew that we would always be friends

Q

Do you think Chuck would go to the clock tower on his own?

A

No, he has always been afraid of heights. That must have been why Chris asked him to hang the flag there, to scare him or maybe even with the intention of killing him.
