Singular Nouns
Single nouns;
e. g.,

Plural Nouns
“Plus” = “More” nouns;
e. g.,
1. Dogs
2. Cats
3. Dinosaurs
4. Whales
if you can’t add an “s” to make it plural then they are; __________. Give examples.
Irregular Plural Nouns:
- Leaf > Leaves
- Child > Children
- Fungus > Fungi
- Mouse > Mice

Regular Plural
Define many nouns by simply adding an “s”
e. g.,
1. Cat > Cats
Common Nouns
More general kind of noun;
e. g.,
1. City
2. Frog

4. Mountain
Proper Nouns
More specific kind of nouns and it’s always capitalized;
e. g.,
1. Chicago {city}
2. Kermit {frog}
3. Nile {river}
4. Everest {mountain}
Concrete Nouns
Something that is concrete; PHYSICAL kind of nouns;
e. g.,
1. Dog
2. Ball
3. Cliff
Abstract Nouns
Something that is drawn away from physical reality kind of noun; NOT PHYSICAL kind of nouns;
e. g.,
1. Sadness
2. Happiness
3. Freedom
Define and explain the types of Irregular plurals.
In irregular plural you don’t add an “s” to make it plural.

When the word’s singular is the same as the plural.

none of them take “s” to become plural. They mutate into different vowel sound.

Foreign Plural Nouns
a noun borrowed from another language that has kept its original plural form rather than adapt the usual English plural ending of -s.
