A group of employers that supports its members’ interests, provides advice, and represents them in employee relations.
Role:
Represent employers in Fair Work Commission cases
Represent employers during collective bargaining
Advise employers on rights and obligations
Act as spokesperson for members as a group

Unions:
Who are they?
Organizations that represent and protect workers’ rights in a specific industry.
Role:
Negotiate on behalf of workers during bargaining
Present employees’ cases during award hearings
Offer support to individual workers
Provide services like credit unions and health insurance
Share relevant workplace information with members
Act as spokesperson for members to the media

Role:
Reviews work standards and conditions
Sets minimum wages and conditions
Approves enterprise agreements
Decides on strikes and industrial actions
