describe the biological approach to treating OCD

A

the use of drug therapy to ‘correct’ imbalance of neurochemicals. eg serotonin to reduce symptoms associated with OCD. SSRIs prevent the reabsorption and breakdown of serotonin in the brain, continue to stimulate postsynaptic neuron.
