O: ilium between anterior and posterior gluteal line & gluteal aponeurosis
I: posterior-lateral surface of greater trochanter of femur
A: abduction and internal rot (ant fibers) and external rot (post fibers) of the hip. May assist with ext of the hip
Gluteus Maximus
