I: broad aponeurosis, xiphoid process, linea alba, pubic crest, public tubercle & ant. 1/2 iliac crest

N: T7-T12 Ventral Rami, iliohypogastric & ilioinguinal n

A: flexion, ipsilateral flexion, contralateral rot.
supports and compresses abdominal viscera
assists in forced expiration
