Factors Influencing Pain Exp:
- pt fear of cause of pain
- psychological stressors & past pain experiences
- pain threshold
Clinician Response:
- empathy
- concern/belief
- listen
- not be condescending
- if you believe and affirm their pain it may help alleviate the pain they are having
