When should Visualization Tools be used?

A
Visualization tools should be used when the data being presented could benefit from structure, style, symbolism, or summary.
- Structure – any time concepts or information fit into groups or have a relationship with one another, it is helpful to display this relationship graphically.
- Style – the style of presentation that exists as a cultural norm in a particular organization.
- Symbolism – If there is a symbol that the audience recognizes that can take the place of a bunch of words, using it will probably lead to quicker understanding.
- Summary – When we want to present information in a summarized form, we usually rely on some visual like a graph or a chart.
