P11 - CST/CRWST Transfer Flashcards
What valves auto close on high flow? and why?
P11-F514, 513, F011 (CRWST valves) to supply water to CTMT fire water system.
What flow do the CRWST valves close at? (high flow due to CTMT fire water system)
and when will they reopen?
Close @ > 9.9” water column after 5 sec TD
re-open @ < 9.9” water column
What’s the purpose of CST/CRWST transfer system?
Primary source of water of HPCS, RCIC, CRD, seal steam, and CTMT fire protection system. Also transfers water from upper CTMT pool during refueling operations and from cask storage.
What is lost if instrument air is lost?
Fire water to CTMT (normal supply)
In the event of a group 6 isolation, what will be lost?
Fire water to CTMT
Where are the RWST pumps operated?
Locally
What are the RWST pump trips?
Low suction pressure, MPD
How do the valves fail on loss of air?
All close except for F505 (condensate transfer pump recirc valve fails open)
What’s the only continuously supplied load from CRWST system?
Seal steam
When will the standby condensate transfer pump start?
< 76 psig (must be manually secured)
What’s the normal suction supply of the condensate transfer pumps?
CST
