- Flow of O2 begins
- Activates mask microphone

What happens if the TEST/RESET button is pressed while the flight deck O2 masks are not stowed?
- Stops flow of O2
- Deactivates mask microphone

What type of O2 will the quick-donning crew masks provide?
- Emergency = Pure O2 with positive pressure
- 100% = Pure O2 at all altitudes
- Normal = O2/air mixture (ratio depends on Cabin ALT
During preflight how would you know if the cockpit crew O2 has been overpressurized?
The green blow-out disc would be missing on the forward right side of the fuselage
What is the O2 duration for the Pax O2, FA cylinder, and PBE?
- Pax O2 = 12 mins
- FA cylinder = 30 mins
- PBE = 15 mins
When will the pax O2 masks auto deploy?
Once reaching a Cabin ALT of 14,000’ MSL
Can the O2 door dispensing units be opened manually if it fails to auto deploy?
Yes, via a MRT located at each FA station
What does the PBE provide?
- Pressurized O2 and
- protection from smokes, fumes, and fire up to FL410 for 15 mins
Blue = Good
Pink = Bad
If you have a vacuum loss on the PBE, will it indicate Blue or Pink?
It will still indicate Blue unfortunately
How many portable O2 cylinders are installed in the cabin>
2 cylinders (1 FWD, 1 AFT) with 2 masks per cylinder (4 total)
On the Quick-Don Mask, what is the only setting that automatically turns the Purge Valve inside the mask on?
EMER, purging and smoke or fumes
How can you bypass having the pax o2 masks deploy at 14,000?
Taking Pax o2 switch from AUTO (14,000) to OVRD
What is the DISCHARGE INDICATOR DISK at the CREW 02 REFILL LOCATION?
The green (normal) oxygen cylinder pressure relief disc blows out (green disk gone) in the event of an overpressure. You’re not going to have any O2.
Crew O2 is stored where and what is the cu. ft of the bottle?
FWD Cargo CMPT and is 77 cu. ft
What initiates the automatic flow of O2 to the quick donning masks?
Opening of the O2 Stowage Box
How long does PAX O2 chemical generation last?
12 minutes for standard config
When do you receive CABIN HI ALTITUDE EICAS warning indication? Caution?
9,700 ft. Cabin Altitude for Warning (Red EICAS)
8,000 for Caution (start thinking about leveling off if it keeps going up and ask ATC for lower)
