What are the processes involved in the genitourinary system?
urination, reproduction and sexual reproduction
Where are the majority of the structures in the system located?
The pelvic cavity (lesser pelvis)
What are the two boundaries of the pelvic cavity?
Superiorly is pelvic inlet, inferiorly is pelvic outlet
Where is the perineum?
Below the pelvic outlet. This is the external genitalia
What is the anterior boundary of the pelvic cavity?
Pubis symphysis
What is the posterior boundary of the pelvic cavity?
The sacrum
What are the female reproductive organs?
Vagina, uterus, ovaries and ovarian tubes.
Where do the female reproductive organs sit?
Lesser pelvic cavity.
What are the male reproductive organs?
Testes, epididymites, ductus diferentes, seminal vesicle, ejaculatory ducts, prostate, bulbourethral glands.
