Screening
★Determines whether further evaluation is warranted
★ OT considers the diagnosis, physical condition, referral, & chart review
Evaluation
★ Process of obtaining & interpreting data necessary for intervention
★ Consists of the occupational profile, analysis of occupational performance, & synthesis of the evaluation process
Assessment
★ Specific tools, instruments, or systematic interactions used during the evaluation process
★ Component of the evaluation process to identify occupational performance
Intervention
★ Implementation of skilled actions directed at facilitating the client’s engagement in occupation
★Includes developing the intervention plan, creating objective & measurable goals, & identifying OT approaches & methods of service delivery
Reevaluation
★ Repeats previous testing so that changes in performance can be measured
★ Allows for reflection regarding the intervention plan and possible modifications
[ ] is the process of determining a client’s response to intervention. This process allows the therapist to revisit assessment tools used during initial evaluation & detmerine a client’s progress, decline, or change in functional status.
Reevaluation
[ ] allows for information regarding the client to be obtained and for data to be reviewed, determining if a potential client would benefit from further OT evaluation and intervention.
Screening
[ ] are components of the evaluation process and are used to analyze occupational performance. They measure the quality of client performance & determine the client factors that influence performance skills and performance patterns.
Assessments
