what does the skull rest on and why?
A
- it rests on the atlas to allow nodding motion
- the atlas shifts on the subsequent vertebra, the axis, to permit side to side motion

the paranasal sinuses: (where do we find them + what are they):
A
frontal, ethmoidal, sphenoidal, (and maxillary), they decrease weight + enhance resonance of voice throughout speech, singing, humming

what are the facial bones ?
A
maxila, zygomatic, nasal, inferior nasal conchae, lacrimal, palatine, mandible, vomer (makes posterior slant of nasal spetum)
