Follow the instructor and leave the classroom in an orderly manner.

Students should duck, cover and hold.
What do you do in case of a fire?
Leave the classroom immediately.
What is the emergency evacuation plan from the Transmission Training Building?
Exit the building from the exit doors at the back of each classroom. Go to the right, proceed down the ramp, and assemble at Pole #4
What is the emergency evacuation plan from the Distribution Training/Skills Training Building?
Exit the building from the front double doors. Assemble in the pole yard, at Pole #3
What is the emergency evacuation plan from the Pole Yard?
Safely descend from pole and assemble at Pole #3
What is the emergency evacuation plan from the Chino Office Building?
Each classroom features a posted evacuation route. Follow the instructor out, along that route.
What is a major part of being a Lineman?
Working together as a team.
What are the rules of classroom behavior?
- Cell Phones OFF
- No Food
- No Newspapers/Magazines/Tablets
- Keep Training Areas Clean
- Tools and Equipment
- Smoking
- Display Respect and a Professional Attitude
What are the Pole Yard Rules?
- Hard hats
- Report Injuries
- Situational Awareness
As a 1st Step what are you allowed to do?
- ) Work alone on all de-energized and grounded conductors as directed by the supervisor
- ) Work on conductors energized below 300V while in direct supervision of a Second Step or higher
- ) Not permitted to climb poles through the level or work above circuits energized in excess of 600V
- ) May climb through Transmission circuits to wash insulators. Must maintain all appropriate work distances as stated in the APM.
- ) Wash insulators on energized circuits from towers or with remote washers if considered qualified by their supervisor.
- ) At the discretion of the supervisor-in-charge, you may install a second set of grounds, except the first set, and you may remove the first set of grounds.
What is the role of an Apprentice?
To learn and demonstrate the knowledge and skills required by a Journeyman Lineman.
What are the responsibilities of an Apprentice?

- ) Complete Daily Log, Work Summary Form, Task Learning Guides, and Self-Study Questions.
