What are lungs?
Organs in your chest that when you inhale, oxygen enters your lungs, and moves to your blood. At the same time, carbon dioxide, moves from your blood to the lungs and is exhaled
What is the Heart?
An Organ that pumps blood through your body by Contracting and Relaxing
What’s the Liver?
An organ that is needed to help digest food, rid the body of waste products and make substances
What are kidneys?
An organ that filters about a half cup of blood every minute, removing wastes and extra water to make urine
What is the stomach?
An organ that holds food and uses an acid to digest
What is a large intestine?
The organ where food waste is formed into waste, stored, and finally excreted
What is a small intestine?
An organ that absorbs the nutrition from your food
How do plants make their own food?
Using photosynthesis which takes in carbon dioxide and water and releases oxygen and glucose
What is Tissue?
A group of cells or fluid that work together to perform a specific job in the body
What is the Circulatory System?
A system the is made up of blood vessels that carry blood away from and towards the heart
What is the digestive system?
A long, twisting tube that starts at the mouth and goes through the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and ends at the anus. The digestive system breaks down food into simple nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats and proteins
