What is the commonwealth principles of emergency managment
Prevention - is the regulatory and physical measures to ensure that emergencies are prevented, or their effects mitigated.
Preparedness - readiness of resources to respond to emergencies. Operational training, stand-by, resource development.
Response - Reaction to emergencies. ACTF&R aim in suburban areas to have the first appliance to arrive within 10 minutes and will try to contain structural fires to room of origin.
Recovery - Return of resources to the preparedness capacity level after emergency situation and the community to a ‘safe’ condition.
