Who were the Edelweiss Pirates?
Group if working class youths who used the edelweiss flower as a symbol of resistance.
Why did the Edelweiss Pirates oppose the Nazis?
They despised the lack of freedom for young people and the military style of the Hitler Youth.

- Have long hair, wear American style clothing and make up.
- Go on hikes and camping to avoid Nazi resistance.

- Church focussed on opposing attacks on their traditions rather than Nazi rule as a whole.
