Description
The M240 Series Machine Gun is gas-operated and fires from the open bolt position. The 7.62mm is the authorized round for the machine gun. The M240H has a spade grip for closed-in space triggering (for use aircraft).

Standard Weapons Status:
● Clear: weapon is stowed, chamber is visually cleared of rounds, bolt is locked to the rear, weapon selector is on SAFE, and there are no rounds in the feed tray.
● Stowed: weapon is stowed, ammunition is in the feed tray, cover is closed with bolt forward, and weapon selector is on FIRE.
● Loaded: weapon is manned, ammunition is in the feed tray, cover is closed with the bolt forward, and weapon selector is on FIRE.
● Armed: weapon is manned, ammunition is in the feed tray, cover is closed with the bolt locked fully to the rear and weapon safety selector is on FIRE when firing and on SAFE when not firing.
Standard Weapon Control Measures: Given/updated by the PC
● Weapons hold: Do not fire except in self-defense or taking effective fire; or it is an administrative measure by the PC.
● Weapons tight: Fire only at targets positively identified as hostile and on order by the PC.
● Weapons free: Door gunners may engage any target not positively identified as friendly.
