Additional notes regarding fratricide prevention:
Reference:
● The employment of the ADAM (air defense and airspace management) element is essential in de-conflicting airspace and preventing fratricide of friendly aircraft operating throughout the area of operations.
● Close coordination and continuous communication between forces is critical to reduce the risk of fratricide.
● Strict adherence to briefed weapons control procedures is critical to the prevention of
fratricide.
● Coordination with adjacent units will achieve effective force protection plans,
interlocking fields of fire, and assist in the prevention of fratricide.
