How does KLM see the function of a Commander (1.4)

A

-Commander presents itself as “Ambassador of the Company”.
-Commander has the role of “Manager of the
Flight”
-The commander is responsible for the safety and welfare of all crew members, passengers and cargo from when he arrives on board until the moment he leaves the plane. He also will ensure the welfare of all crew members between the time of check in and check out at home station. He is ultimately responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient operation by the standards set by KLM and the law.

Define Minimum Obstacle Clearance Altitude (MOCA)

A

MOCA
The Minimum Obstacle Clearance Altitude (ICAO) is the minimum altitude for a
defined segment of a route that provides the required obstacle clearance.
The minimum obstacle clearance value is:
1000 ft in areas not AIP-designated as mountainous, or
1500 ft in designated mountainous areas with terrain and obstacle elevations
between 3000 - 5000 ft, or
2000 ft in designated mountainous areas with terrain and obstacle elevations
greater than 5000 ft.
