PPH- 500ml loss
1000ml - MOH
within 24h of preg

4t's
TONE- 50% - placenta acretta (and other), fibroids, etc
Tissue- Placenta remaining
Trauma - tears, scars, rupture
Thrombosis-  vWF, heamophilia

All women with c sec would have IV oxytocin- can add tranexemic acid

What is the management for small PPH

Answer 2

No signs of shock - IV acess
G&S. cross match, FBC, coag screen
obs every 15mins
crystalloids
and can add medical management as needed

What is the management for PPH/MOH

Answer 3

Conservative - Bimanual uterine compress, Catheter insertion

medical- tranaxemic acid
IM/IV syntocinon ( oxytocin + ergometrine)
Ergometrine not if HTN or asthma
IM carboprost

surgical - balloon tamponade
Brace stitch
Hysterctomy
