How is the sign for $1.00 similar to the sign for “first”? how can you tell which is which?
1 dollar can be made with a slightly bigger twist of the wrist and with a wider arc than the ordinal number. You may have to rely on context to distinguish weather it’s “first” or “1 dollar” thats being signed
How are dollar amounts from $1.00 through $9.00 signed?
Numbers 1-9 are signed like normal numbers with the dollar signs following it
Plain verbs do not convey what type of information? What must you specify when using a plain verb? Ex?
Plain verbs do not convey who is doing what with whom, you have to specify that
Ex. Borrow, Tall, and with
How are inflecting verbs different from plain verbs? What else can they show?
Different from pain verbs because you allow the signer to indicate the subject and object by changing the direction of movement of the sign
- The signs start at the subjects and end at the object
- Can also be inflected to indicate the number of subjects and or objects
Ex. I to You, She to Me, I to you All
How are spatial verbs like inflecting verbs?
like spatial verbs because it allows the signer to changed the direction of movement of the sign to indicate location.
Ex. From here to there
How are they like plain verbs?
Plain verbs because the subjects and objects must be specific

Know how to sign mixed dolar amounts with $1 - $9, like $1.65 and $3.50
With a number like 1.65, twist the first number indicating that its a dollar amount, then move your hand slightly to the right with the following cents signed.
- OR sing the dollar around the sing “dollar” then sign however many cents is left and do the “cents” sign
