What is Multiple Sclerosis?

It is a systemic disorder which affects the CNS, including the brain and spinal cord.

What happens in MS?
A
Inflammation causes nerve impulses from the the brain to slow down or become blocked, leading to symptoms of MS.

What are occular signs of MS?
A
Afferent pupillary defect, Optic neuritis, nystagmus, visual field defects, cranial nerve palsies.
