Gestational trophoblastic disease path, presentation, dx, tx
A
Occurs post normal vaginal delivery, molar pregnancy, abortion
Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia ==> local vaginal cancer
Choriocarcinoma ==> highly metastatic, usually lungs
Vaginal bleeding post delivery > 6 weeks post delivery
Pelvic pain
Dyspnea & chest pain (choriocarcinoma)
Elevated bHCG
XR: Bilateral pulmonary nodules (choriocarcinoma)
