  • Increase atherosclerosis = increase coronary artery disease, PAD
  • Increase leptin = increase SNS and RAAS = increase BP
  • Altered vascular and coagulation activity = increase risk of thrombosis
  • Fatty infiltration of cardiac tissues = alterations in cardiac conduction and ventricular dilation and hypertrophy
