It is a face-to-face meeting between two or more persons, directed towards a purpose, such as to obtain information, to give instructions, and to help.
interview
It is a two-way process and method by which a source purposively shares messages with a receiver directly or via a channel and both learn from each other.
communication
The four elements of communication.
- Source;
- Receiver;
- Message; and
- Channel
An individual, group, or institution where communication originates.
source
A knowledge, an attitude, and/or behavior which the source wishes to convey to the receiver.
message
This communication involves the use of words, whether spoken or written.
verbal communication
The use of a word or phrase which expresses something unpleasant or offensive in a more pleasant way.
euphemisms
This communication is communication without the use of words.
non-verbal communication
Are non-verbal form of communication. They come in the form of pictures, diagrams, posters, logos, etc.
symbols
This refers to the proper course of transmission of communication. It is either interpersonal communication, or mass media, or both.
channel
This communication channel involves face-to-face contact with people.
interpersonal communication
This communication channel comes in two forms: printed and electronic.
mass media
The person, group, or population segment/total population that is the intended audience of communication.
receiver
A type of recordings which are also called as face sheet, admission form, application form.
intake sheets
A generic tool in social work practice. They identify the clients they serve and the kind of service rendered to them.
