Non-Govermental Organizations (NGOs)
Three classifications of NGOs based on their levels of operation
(1) Primary

Classification of NGO
Also called as people’s organizations and self-help groups which are direct oeganizations of the beneficiaries themselves (ex. CALARIZ, an organization of the fisherfolk in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal)
Primary NGOs

Organizations and agencies composed of different professions providing services to the beneficiaries (e.g Catholic Charities and the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement)
Secondary/Intermediate NGOs
Classification of NGO
Usually a network of NGOs established for mutual assistance or for special purposes (e.g National Council on Social Development Foundation)
Tertiary NGOs
