Enteral tube feeding?
feeding via the stomach, duodenum and jejunum
What is refeeding syndrome>?
body switches to anabolic state once refeeding using u stores of potassium, mag, phosphate, leading to increase deficiency of electrolyte
What is beneficence?
Beneficence is action that is done for the benefit of others.
What is autonomy ?
The right of patients to make decisions about their medical care without their health care provider trying to influence the decision.
What is non-maleficence?
non-harming or inflicting the least harm possible to reach a beneficial outcome
What is Justice?
the fair treatment of individuals to the equitable allocation of healthcare dollars and resources
What is the best interest?
The best interests principle in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (the Act) states that any act done or decision made on behalf of an adult lacking capacity must be in their best interests.
