Laws became legal basis for racist anti-Jewish policy in Germany
Additional decrees added in following 8 years
1) “Reich citizenship law”
Only aryans could be citizens of the Reich
Stripped Jews of political rights reduced them to state subjects
2) law for the protection of German blood and honour
Forbade marriage and extra marital sexual relations between Germans and Jews
Provided legitimate legal mechanism for excluding Jews from mainstream German culture but also supplied rationalization for the antisemitic riots and arrests
