LEGAL BASIS OF NSTP: This Superseded Republic Act no. 7077 (Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act)

NSTP: Designed to provide military training to motivate, equip, organize, and mobilize the youth for national defense preparedness.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
NSTP: It shall instill in them patriotism, moral virtues, respect for rights of civilians, and adherence to the Constitution.

Exemptions for NSTP
- Any foreign student enrolled in AISAT with proper documents as required by CHED is exempted from the NSTP.
- SK Chairman and officials will be exempted from joining the NSTP-CWTS 2 class and will still pay the NSTP fee. However, they need to submit documents according to the Joint Memorandum Circular no. 1 series of 2019 between NYC and CHED.

How will the NSTP be taken up?
Each of the NSTP Components shall be undertaken for an academic period of two (2) semesters and credited for three (3) units per semester with 54 to 90 training hours per semester.
