energy is what makes things happen, move or change.
why do we need energy?
to LIVE and for EVERYTHING we do
what do living things use energy for?
to grow, breath, move and feed
what is a source of energy?
something that we get energy from
where does the energy in our food come from?
from the SUN.
plants use the sun’s energy to make their own food; some of that food is stored in their bodies. plants then provide food for animals and people.
how does your body get energy?
food (from plants and animals) is the source of energy for your body. energy is stored in food.
food is broken down so that we can use the energy
what is an omnivore?
animals that eat meat (other animals) and plants
what is a carnivore?
animals that only eat meat (other animals)
what is a herbivore?
animals that only eat plants
what is the transfer of energy
the process by which energy goes from one part of a food chain to anther
or changes from one type of energy to another
what is a system
something that has 2 or more parts working together to make something happen
what is the output energy?
the energy that comes out of a system
what input energy does an electrical appliance use?
electricity from batteries or mains electricity
what are percussion instruments?
musical instruments that make sound by striking/beating, scraping or shaking
what are string instruments
musical instruments that make sound with strings
