A
Smooth, columella directly mid line, width is no greater than diameter of naris; no swelling or depression of nasal bridge; color conforms to face

Nasal bridge and soft tissue
A
(palpate with on finger on each side and gently palpate from bridge to tip) firm and stable

Nasal septum and turbinates
A
(inspect with speculum and with head tilted back) mucosa and turbinates are pink and glistening; septum close to midline and fairly straight, inferior and middle turbinates visible; sparse hair in vestibule, no swelling, masses or lesions.
