What are the Characteristics of a ‘Normal Voice’
A
A ‘Normal’ voice is hard to define because it depends on the vocal fold and the task / the load it is given. However, a normal voice will have:
- The vocal tract completely closed for a part of the cycle
- Consistent Clarity e.g. not ++ rough/ breathy
- Audible - able to change volume
- Flexible pitch, loudness and quality
- Comfortable
- Age and gender appropriate
