What is a hypofunctional dysphonia
A
A hypofunctional dysphonia results from an incomplete closure of the vocal cords or folds - muscle tension and strain

What is a hyperfunctional dysphonia
A
This results from overuse of the laryngeal muscles occasionally, use of the false vocal folds (the upper two vocal folds that are not involved in vocalization). - breathiness due to lack of tension

A
Breathy, hoarse or rough voice
Voice instability
