- Physiological Flexion: needs external quieting, unsettled, baby feels safest in prone, see movement in supine.
- Wide variation in behavioral states ; appears disorganized but is actually very purposeful. Responds to tactile, propioceptive, and vestibular input.

- Less physiological flexion- appears floppy, secondary to lack of movement control.
- Emerging ATNR; Focal length is 10; beginning visual regard for hand.
