An unpredicted event that may endanger the safety of an aircraft or its cargo and crew.

Non-Normal/Abnormal
A non-normal/abnormal event is an unpredicted event that affects the normal operating procedures of the crew or the cargo.

Pilot In Command shall complete the landing.
22.3
Minimum Fuel Declaration
Any change to the existing clearance may result in landing with less than the Fixed Fuel Reserve.

Landing with less than Fixed Fuel Reserve.
“MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY FUEL”.

Engine Failure During Flight (Climb)
Primary consideration should be to return to the departure airport.

E & E bay and above cockpit?
None in the cockpit - all reset buttons.
Flight Crew Incapacitation
An Emergency Plan Makes Sense - Divert ASAP
- Assume PF role.

Engage autopilot and maximum automation
a. Conduct GA if necessary - Declare PAN
- Move seat full aft and lock harness
- Seek assistance from supernummary crew members.
- Divert if necessary
- Autoland
Critical System Failure (EDTO Consideration)
May include an emergency and may result in determination by the Pilot In Command that the most advisable course of action is to land at an airport other than the destination.

*I – Intentions;
*T – Time available before landing/impact/cabin prepared;
*S – Special considerations or requirements.
