When does the NZ fuel requirement apply for a single runway airport?
Pre-flight only. After engine start or pushback, standard in-flight fuel requirements apply.
FLIGHT fuel
Take-off roll → 1500 ft at the destination.
APPROACH fuel
1500 ft → touchdown.
ARR ALLOWANCE
- Additional manoeuvring during descent at the planned Destination and Alternate
- Considered either Planned or Required Additional Fuel
- Displayed on the OFP in the Arrival Allowance fuel line.
CONTINGENCY
Unforeseen factors influencing burn to destination
eg fuel consumption data, enroute meteorological conditions, extended taxi times, route, altitudes etc.

Final Reserve Fuel
Minimum fuel needed to fly at 1500 feet above the Alternate Airport or Destination Airport at holding speed in ISA conditions.
