Contemporary Australian philosopher Peter Singer uses the word ‘BLANK’ - to describe giving preference to our own species over another, in the absence of morally relevant differences.

Now, you might have noticed that this is the first time our discussion of ethics has focused on personal, individual connections – on feelings of love, rather than on impartiality. This is characteristic of a school of moral thought known as the BLANK. The BLANK says that morality goes wrong when we emphasize impartiality, because it’s our most caring relationships that make our lives worthwhile.
