Defining relative clause
- give essential info so that we can identify who or what is being talked about
- follows immediately after the noun referring to the person or thing we are talking about
- we don’t put commas at the beginning or end of drc
- we can sometimes omit the relative pronoun. The relative pronoun must be used when it is the subject of the following verb

Preposition in relative clause
- preposition can be placed at the end of the sentence in neutral and informal English. Formal sentence are often constructed to place the preposition earlier in the sentence.
- When the preposition is placed earlier in the sentence, that cannot be used
- When the preposition is placed earlier in the sentence , whom must be used as the relative pronouns when the object is a person
