- French neurologist 1825-1893
- one of the founders of modern neurology
- there are at least 15 eponyms with his name!
- first to describe Multiple Sclerosis
- also conducted key studies on Parkinson’s
- described Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease
- also studied hysteria
- basically, all roads lead to Charcot

cerebellar tremor
A
- a low frequency tremor caused by problems in the cerebellum
- one of the three texbook signs of Multiple Sclerosis
- can due be to neurodegenerative disease, toxicity, tumor, trauma, stroke
- or it could be alcohol withdrawal, old age, low blood sugar… any number of things can cause it
