Q
Newton’s 2nd law of motion
A
The bigger the force acting on an object, the faster the object will speed up.
Objects with greater mass require bigger forces than those with smaller mass to make them speed up at the same rate.
1
Q
Newton’s 1st law of motion
A
A body will continue to move in a straight line unless a resultant force is acting on the body in another direction
2
Q
Newton’s 3rd law of motion
A
When you push something, it pushes back just as hard, but in the opposite direction.
“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”
3
Q
Describe Newton’s laws of gravity?
A
- between any two objects there is a force of attraction
- the greater the masses, the stronger the gravitational force
- if the distance between the masses increases, the gravitational force decreases
