A

weaknesses
- they exaggerate the decline in nuclear familys- most aults still maryy and have children - most children are reares by both parents - most mrriges last until death - divorce has increased but so has remarrying

  • feminsm - gender roles are socially determied rather than being fixed on biology - traditional gender roles are oppresive on women
  • feminism - divorce being easier is good because iwthout it many women will remai in abusive relationship
  • most lone parent fa,ilys are not benfit scroungers - tehy wantto work and be independant

chester argues the new right exaggerates the extent of cohabitation and sigle parent fa,ilies- most children still spend most of their lives in a nuclear family arrangment.
