He also become allies with the Hurons and turned against the Iroquois. He wanted to be able to use the hurons trade connections.

What were some of the challenges with colonizing new France

A

One of the main challenges in colonizing New France was that Louis the 14th didn’t want to give up his land. The French are also always fighting with the Iroquois so it was very dangerous. There’s also very limited population, so there could only be a certain amount of people there. And winters are also extremely harsh. People were very sick and were often dying of scurvy.
