What is the CNS?
The central nervous system controlling the activities of the body.
What is the PNS?
Peripheral nervous system which connects the CNS to the limbs and organs as a communication relay.
What is a synapse?
A junction between two nerve cells, through a gap impulses pass by diffusion of a neurotransmitter.
What is a neurotransmitter?
A chemical substance released at the end of a nerve.
What are two neurotransmitters?
Dopamine- helps with depression as well as focus.
Serotonin- necessary for a stable mood, regulates carbs
How do we grow dendrites?
By enabling our brain to perform challenging tasks throughout day to day life
What is a digital native and immigrant?
A digital native is a person brought up during the age of digital technology. A digital immigrant is a person brought up before the widespread of technology.
