Q

Steps of Neuronal devolopment

A
  1. Generate Progeniter population (neuron than neuronal)
  2. Devide progenoter populations (proliferation, self renewing)
  3. Migrate to proper domain
  4. Recieve cues from timing,enviorment,etc.
  5. upregulate neuron specific regulatory pathways
  6. produce branches to connect with other neurons
  7. connect with other neurons/targets
  8. cordiante with glia

Q

Floor plate/Roof plate

A

Floor-ventral

Roof - Dorsal

Made from shet folding up on itself - makes spinal cord with regions (floor and roof plates)

Q

Neuronal Branching

A

Many shapes/sizes

vast majority has three parts

  • cell soma (transcription occours)
  • dendrites
  • single axon

Q

Neurites

A

unspecified branches extend from neuron (grow in differnt directions baised on enviorment)

one neurite defined as an axon - rest are either retracted or become dendrites

9
Q

axonal inital segment

A

protines localized in - determines that neuite becomes axion

(same thing as axion hillock)

though to be a filter area - prevent protines that arnt supost to be there

Q

cytoscelatal arangment

A

+in - Out - axion

both ways - dendrite

want protine to go out - want motor neuron to go - to +
