- Devide progenoter populations (proliferation,self renewing)
- Migrate to proper domain
- Recieve cues from timing,enviorment,etc.
- upregulate neuron specific regulatory pathways
- produce branches to connect with other neurons
- connect with other neurons/targets
- cordiante with glia
Floor plate/Roof plate

Made from shet folding up on itself - makes spinal cord with regions (floor and roof plates)
Radial-Glia
radial migration of neurons out to edges of spinal cord

Many shapes/sizes
vast majority has three parts
- cell soma (transcription occours)

- single axon
Neurites
unspecified branches extend from neuron (grow in differnt directions baised on enviorment)
one neurite defined as an axon - rest are either retracted or become dendrites
Inital outgrowth
starts as Neurites
axonal inital segment
protines localized in - determines that neuite becomes axion
(same thing as axion hillock)
though to be a filter area - prevent protines that arnt supost to be there
