URGENT CT HEAD SCAN - to differentiate between type of stroke
ischaemic - give loading dose of aspirin and thrombolysis within 4.5 hrs
haemorrhagic - neurosurgical referral

stroke vs bell’s palsy
A
in a stroke, the forehead is spared
bell’s = drooping of face, forehead is involved, sudden (hrs to one day or two), may have facial pain

- cholinesterase inhibitors eg pyridostigmine, to attach to ACh receptors
muscle weakness, bulbar, drooping
