What is the goal serum level for carbamazepine?
4-12
When should Phenytoin levels be checked?
24h after oral dose OR
1h after IV
What is the goal serum Phenytoin level?
10-20
What Phenytoin serum level is associated with toxicity?
> 50
What is the serum goal for valproic acid?
50-125
What toxcities are seen with valproic acid when serum levels > 150?
- hyperammonemia
- altered mental status
- N/V
- abdominal pain
What does BE FAST stand for?
- Balance difficulty
- Eyesight changes
- Face weakness
- Arm weakness
- Speech difficulties

What is a distinct sign of hemmorhagic stroke?
severe headache
How often should someone be monitored with the NIHSS stroke scale?
q 6-8h
What must be done before treating a stroke?
CT scan
How is ischemic/ fibrinolytic stroke managed?
Alteplace
Tenectaplase
Why should Alteplace/Tenectaplace not be used if systolic >185 or dyastolic >110?
increased risk of bleeding
What are exclusions for Alteplace/ Tenecteplace between 3-4.5h of stroke onset?
- age >80
- severe stroke (NIHSS>25)
- hx of diabetes AND prior stroke
- taking oral anticoagulant
