What is Wernicke’s aphasia and where is the lesion?
A
Fluent aphasia - speak in jargon, fake words, insensible sentences. Comprehension is poor. Lesion in superior temporal gyrus.

Difficulty getting words out, requires cues. Comprehension is good.
Frontal lobe of the dominant hemisphere.

parkinsonism Impairment of vertical gaze, worse when looking down falls slurring of speech cognitive impairment poor response to L-dopa
