Inability to interpret information

Inability to recognize symbols/letters/numbers traced on the skin
Agraphia
Inability to write d/t lesion
Alexia
Inability to read d/t lesion
Anosognosia
Denial/unawareness of one’s illness (seen with unilateral neglect)
Apraxia
Inability to perform purposeful learned movements/activities
Constructional Apraxia
Inability to reproduce geometric figures and designs; cannot visually analyze how to perform a task.
Decerebrate Rigidity
Extension of the trunk and all extremities d/t corticospinal lesion an the brainstem level
Decorticate Rigidity
Trunk and lower extremities are extended and the upper extrmities are flexed d/t corticospinal lesion at level of the diencephalon
Dysprosody
Impairment in the rhythm and inflection of speech
Hemiparesis
Weakness on one side of the body
Hemiplegia
Paralysis on one side of the body
Homonymous Hemianopsia
Loss of right or left half of the visual field in both eyes
Ideational Apraxia
Inability to formulate a motor plan and initiate tasks where proprioceptive input for movement is impaired
Ideomotor Apraxia
Person motor plans a task but can not volitionally perform it.
